Maurice Smith, CTIE is steadily building a tremendous legacy based on helping others and seeing the world. He is the Founder and CEO of Eugene Toriko and serves as a luxury travel advisor for the company. Eugene Toriko was developed to place more attention on luxury travel and give Maurice a way to impact many people in a positive manner, both economically and socially. He is well-versed in many parts of business, and it drives his current success. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in computer science from LaGrange College. He also earned a graduate certification in hospitality management and tourism from Florida Atlantic University. His true passion stems from the growth he is experiencing both personally and professionally and the power he holds to shape lives.
Maurice has been a top-producing travel advisor for more than 3 consecutive years. Other accolades include being chosen by TripAdvisor as 1 out of 200 founding trip designers worldwide for their beta platform, RECO. In March of 2022, Maurice earned the Certified Travel Industry Executive (CTIE) certification and designation from The Travel Institute. He was chosen by the editorial staff of Travel + Leisure Magazine to join the 2022 Travel + Leisure A-List for being a top travel advisor and sustainable tourism specialist. That list consists of 158 other specialist from around the world. He was chosen again by the editorial staff of Travel + Leisure Magazine to join their 2023 Travel + Lesiure A-List as a top travel advisor and Central America specialist. His knowledge has been requested by The Washington Post, USA Today and numerous other publications and outlets to give expert advice on pandemic and post-pandemic traveling. He has a voice that is not only needed but is also quickly respected for many good reasons.
